Week 36

We went back to the doctor today. They performed a non-stress test where they listen to the baby’s heartbeat and tracked his movements over 20 minutes. He would kick or move and Kelly would push a button to record it and then his heart rate would go up from around 130 bpm to around 150 bpm and then he’d calm down again. Everything was normal with that. They also tested for Group B Strep which determines if she will need antibiotics during labor. We’ll get the results of that next week. We start going to the doctor every week now in the last few weeks. Next Tuesday we do another non-stress test, and some other tests. The doctor said he weighs between 6 and 6.5 lbs and he would gain about a 1/2 lb a week until he gets here.

We’ll pack the hospital bag this week. The waiting is driving us crazy.
